Gallery - Australian Landscapes

Bungle Bungles 2In some Austalian Outback national parks we have particular iconic landscapes, and now known by their Aboriginal titles they include Uluru, (formerly Ayers Rock) and Purnululu, still frequently referred to as The Bungle Bungles. These banded sandstone karst formations are understandably special sometimes sacred places to the indegenous communities in their regions; and for the visitor they're simply overwhelming to experience up close.  While not sure if I have finished with these shapes I felt I had to explore, neither am I sure if there will be more to come or not.
